Dresses for Weddings, Eid and Formal Celebrations
This is the most formal work we make. Where our seasonal edits dress a child for birthdays and family gatherings, these pieces are for the events a family plans around; weddings, Nikkah and Walima celebrations, Eid, and the formal occasions that are photographed and remembered.
Each dress is beaded entirely by hand in our atelier. Sizes 2 to 11.
Beaded by Hand, One Dress at a Time
The difference between an occasion dress and a formal one is almost always the handwork.
Every pearl, flower and bead in this collection is placed by hand. Not applied as a pre-made panel, not machine-stitched, not outsourced. On a collar beaded with pearls and small flowers, each element is positioned individually, which is why the scatter can graduate from dense at the shoulder to sparse at the hem, fading into the cloth rather than stopping at a line. Machine work cannot do that, and no two dresses come out identical.
This is the slowest work we do, and it is what the price reflects.
Cloth with Depth
These dresses are cut in satin jacquard cloth with a floral woven into it rather than printed onto it, which is what gives the color its depth as it catches the light.
The palette is deliberately restrained: ivory and blush pink, the two colours that hold beadwork best and that suit the widest range of formal settings, from a daytime nikkah to an evening reception.
Flower Girl, Eid and Wedding Guest
Ivory and blush are the traditional colors for a flower girl, and these A-line silhouettes are cut to be comfortable through a long ceremony, unfitted through the body, easy to move in, with no structure that digs in after an hour.
The same dresses serve as wedding guest dresses, Eid outfits, christening dresses and portrait dresses. For a more covered look, a dress with a cape covers the shoulders and upper arms; the sleeveless pieces pair easily with a fine cardigan, bolero or shawl.
In Two Markets
In Pakistan these are wedding season dresses, worn from November through February and again through Eid.
In the UAE formal occasions run all year, and these pieces suit air-conditioned venues, evening events and daytime celebrations equally. Both palettes work across seasons; neither is a winter or summer colour.
A Small Collection, Deliberately
This collection is intentionally brief. Hand beading does not scale, and we would rather release three dresses we are certain of than twelve we are not.
New pieces are added as they are finished. When a design sells out it is retired, and there are no restocks.
Sizes 2 to 11 years. Made in Pakistan. Delivered across Pakistan and the UAE. Care: dry clean only; the hand beading should never be machine washed.
