Description

The Todlem Colette is a long-sleeved navy winter dress for girls, finished with a pale blue scalloped collar embroidered by hand. A ditsy floral print runs throughout, tiny four-petal flowers in the same pale blue, scattered across a deep navy ground. Buttoned waist tabs release into a knife-pleated skirt that flares softly as she moves.

It is cut in woven fabric, a substantial winter-weight cloth with a soft napped surface, structured enough to hold its pleats through the season, with plenty of room to run. The collar is embroidered in our Lahore atelier, stitch by stitch: the detail that takes the longest and the first thing anyone notices.

The deep navy holds the white collar and the small flowers in balance. It reads dressed up without being fussy, right for a family lunch, a birthday, a winter wedding or Eid. In Pakistan it carries the cold months; in Dubai it suits air-conditioned interiors and travelling.
